Members of the China Standby Peacekeeping Police Force attend the forces founding ceremony in Dongying, east Chinas Shandong Province, on December 22, 2016.
The organization consists of two anti-riot units and over 300 individuals, with an average age of 27, selected from border control squads around the country.
This is Chinas first permanent standby police force for UN peacekeeping missions, established following President Xi Jinpings pledge at the UN General Assembly in September 2015.
