我们必须紧密地团结在以习近平同志为核心的党中央周围。(We must be closely united around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping asthe core.)“核心”，就是“中心”或“事物的主要部分”，英语译为core。如：1. 以习近平同志为核心的党中央在党内享有高度共识。The CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core has a high degree of consensus in the CPC.
“社会主义核心价值观”，英语现有两种译法socialist core values 和coresocialist values。如：2. 社会主义核心价值观的基本内容是富强、民主、文明、和谐，自由、平等、公正、法治，爱国、敬业、诚信、友善。The basic contents of the socialist core values/the core socialist values are prosperity, democracy, civility, harmony, freedom,equality, justice, rule of law, patriotism,dedication, integrity and friendship.
“核心利益”，英语译为core interests。如：3. 我们将遵循独立自主的和平外交政策，坚定地保护我们的国家核心利益。We will follow an independent foreign policy of peace, and firmly protect our national core interests.
“核心意涵”，英语译为core meaning。如：4. “九二共识”的核心意涵是两岸同属一个中国。The core meaning of the 1992 Consensus is that the two sides of the Taiwan Straits belong to one China.
“核心工作”，英语译为core task。如：5. 神舟十一号任务的核心工作之一是为中国已计划好的空间站测试交会与对接技术。One of the core tasks of the Shenzhou XI mission is to test rendezvous and docking technologies forChina's planned space station.
“ 核心竞争力”， 英语译为core competitiveness。如：6. 一个企业的核心竞争力来自其员工的良好素质。The core competitiveness of a business originates from the good quality of its personnel.
“核心技术”，英语译为core technology。如：7. 由于本土公司尚未掌握核心技术，中国机器人市场仍为海外产品主导。The Chinese market of robots is still dominated by overseas products as homegrown companies have not mastered core technology.▲
