庄园主与农夫

1.One day,a farmer passed by a manor and met the owner unexpectedly.The owner looked at the farmer arrogantly2and said,“I have the largest sum of money.Why don’t you salute3me?”一天，一位农夫经过一所庄园，正好碰上了庄园主。庄园主傲慢地看着农夫，问道：“我是这里最有钱的人，你为什么不向我行礼？”

2.The farmer was very clever.With his head high,he said to the rich owner,“None of it is mine.Why should I salute you?”农夫很聪明，抬着头，对庄园主说：“钱又不是我的，我为何要向你行礼？”

3.The farmer refused to do what the rich owneraskedhimto.Theownerwas embarrassed4.Then he said,“I’ll give you half of the coins in my pocket,but you must salute me.”农夫拒绝向庄园主行礼，庄园主感到尴尬。他对农夫说：“我把口袋里的钱分给你一半，但你必须向我行礼。”

4.The farmer answered with a smile,“Now I have the same sum of money as you,why should I salute you?”农夫微笑着答应了，说：“现在我们有一样多的钱，我为什么非要向你行礼呢？”

5.Allthepeoplearoundburstinto laughter.The owner was very angry and began to shout,“You poor man,I’ll give you all of the coins,but you must salute me!”围观的人大笑进起来。庄园主很生气，大声吼道：“穷小子，我把剩余的钱全都给你，但是你必须得向我行礼！”

6.The farmer put the rest coins into his pocket,“Well,now I have a lot of coins,but you have none,you must salute me now!”农夫把剩余的钱也装入了衣袋，说：“现在我有很多钱，而你身上却一个字也没有。你应该向我行礼了！”

感悟：智慧比金钱更重要。智慧可以创造财富，但金钱买不来智慧。金钱不是万能的，它只会越用越少，而智慧是人一生用不尽的财富！明事理、能忍耐、勤劳、可靠、自律、谦逊、有德性，才是一个智慧的人。!
