一.教学目标
(一)知识目标
1.重点单词:shoot(shot),stone,weak,god,remind.
2.重点短语:once upon a time,as soon as,so…that,try todo sth.remind sb,of sth,work on,take away,keep on doing,finish doing,continue to do.
3.重点句子:
1)As soon as the man finished talking,Yu Gong said that this family could continue to move the mountains after he died.
2)This story reminds us that you can never know whats possible unless you try to make it happen.
(二)能力目标
1.学习和了解中西方神话故事,并能够灵活运用一般过去时态讲述出来?学会讲述故事
2.培养自主探究,合作与沟通等方面的能力。
(三)情感目标
通过愚公移山的故事,树立坚定的信心努力向着目标前进,无论什么困难的事情,只要有恒心地做下去,就有可能。

Step1 Lead in
1.展示学习目标。
2.播放动画片《愚公移山》的视频,导入本单元主题。
T:Whats the name of the story?
S1:Its Yu Gong moves a mountain.
S2:Its a traditional Chinese story.
T:Do you know other traditional Chinese stories?
S1:Ne Zha Conquers the Dragon King
S2:Magic Brush Ma Lian
S3:Change Flies to the Moon
Step2 Information Collection
Look at the pictures in 1a,then read the names of the story in the box.
Finish 1a.叫学生个别回答,答对的为其所在小组加分.并要求读故事标题,并领读,老师讲解其中的新单词自然引入书中1a的练习,匹配图片和名字。
找一名学生进行选择一个故事进行表述,其他学生猜。
Step3 listening
1.Do you know the story of Yu Gong?Can you tell us the story?Lets listen.
2.1b Listen and check the facts you hear. Which story are Anna and Wang Ming talking about?
3.Discuss the questions with your partner.(小组讨论合作完成)Pair work配音演练
(1)对于听力内容进行角色扮演、对话练习。以配音的方式做表演。
(2)让学生找出三个问题的答案进行解答。

Q3:Where would they put all the earth and stone from the mountains?
每个问题后面老师提供重要的字,词.

Listen and number the pictures(1-4) in order to tell the story.(做听力之前先让学生仔细看图,找出几幅图之间的不同)
1.学生边看课本42页的图片看懂图片所示内容;教师播放听力录音,学生边听边完成2a的任务。
2.Listen again and circle the words you hear. Finish 2b
3.Explain the five sentences 讲解红字部分内容,作为知识点讲解,为后面练习和反馈做好铺垫。小组合作翻译并讲解知识点。
4.Pay attention to “unless”引导的条件状语从句。

Ask the Ss to retell the story of Yu Gong Moves the Mountains according to the pictures.
1.Tell Ss to make a story chain. Ss tell the story one by one with the pictures in PPT
2.Let some Ss tell the story to the class.
3.See which groups story is better.
Step7 Do some exercises and make a summary.
