SCALING THE WALL

American tourists pose for photos at the Jinshanling section of the Great Wall in Luanping County， north Chinas Hebei Province. On March 25， some 1，000 tourists from the United States hiked through Jinshanling—one of the best-preserved sections of the wall—as part of the China-U.S. Tourism Year.

The tourism year was brought up during President Xi Jinpings visit to the United States last September. A series of other events will be carried out throughout the year to promote tourism between the two countries.
