导读:28岁的利物浦小哥Phil Duncan向自己承诺,要在30岁前和此生挚爱一起,至少去30个国家旅行。于是他就带上他的今生所爱——披萨——一起出发了。
We travel to find ourselves. To learn. To grow. To embrace new cultures and ways of living.
The greatest way to do that? Pizza. Pizza is finding yourself. Pizza is love. Pizza is everything. So take note from Phil Duncan, a man who is traveling the globe for one very important reason: to eat pizza.
It all started back when Phil was 5 years old, and enjoyed a pizza baguette at Disneyland Paris. He fell in love. And since then hes traveled to more than 30 countries across five continents, enjoying the best pizza each location has to offer.
Phil told Elite Daily,“I have been to some of the largest cities in the world and some tiny remote islands in the middle of nowhere. It amazes me no matter what the traditional food is like, you will always find somewhere that sells pizza.” His journey has been eye-opening. He has learned that like all great loves, pizza can some be disappointing.
“People say there is no such thing as a bad slice of pizza,” says Phil. “Well, they obviously havent been to Argentina because thats possibly the worst pizza Ive had. Devastating.”
His dream is to open his own pizza restaurant, and Phil now plans to focus his pizza pilgrimage on learning to make it, not just eat it. But first hell need to visit pizzas homeland.
“I have never been to Italy, the home of pizza. When I go and do my pilgrimage, I want to do it properly, really experience it and hopefully learn how to make pizza.”
You keep going, Phil.
Eat that pizza. Pick up that slice and follow your dreams. Youre an inspiration to us all.
