When Jack bowed (鞠躬) to someone, he always did it at very quick speed. So his parents often blamed (指责) him for no manners (礼貌).
“You should wait until the guest nods(点头) his or her head,” Jacks mother taught him. “When you bow to somebody next time, you can count‘January, February, March…until December. Then you can lift your body up. Thus, you can be a boy with manners.”
The next day, Jack met his uncle. He did as his mother told him. The bow was very long. It made his uncle feel surprised and soon ran away. When Jack looked up, he found nobody in front. So he asked a passerby (路人): “In which month did my uncle go away?”
