CPAPD Delegation Attends World Peace Council Conference in Brazil and Visits Suriname
At the invitation by the World Peace Council (WPC) and Suriname-China Friendship Association (SCFA), CPAPD Secretary General Mr. Zhu Rui headed a delegation to participated in the WPC Assembly and World Peace Conference held in Sao Luiz, Brazil from November 19 to 20, 2016.
During the stay in Sao Luiz, Mr. Zhu made a keynote speech at the World Peace Conference. The CPAPD delegation had a meeting with Ms. Socorro Gomes and Mr. Thanassis Pafilis newly-elected President and General Secretary, and other leaders of the WPC. It also interacted extensively with other organizations and representative attending the conference.
In Suriname, the CPAPD delegation met with Ms. Jennifer Simons, Speaker of the National Assembly and her deputy Mr. Melvin Bouva, Agricultural Minister Mr. Soeresh Algoe, and Secretary General of the National Assembly Ms. Ruth Windt. It also met with Mr. Stephen Tseng, Member of the National Assembly and had a discussion with the SCFA.
