On March 18th, 2015, China International Textile Fair for Fibres and Yarns 2015(Spring Edition), China International Trade Fair for Apparel Fabrics and Accessories 2015 (Spring Edition), China International Clothing & Accessories Fair 2015 (Spring), as well as PH Value (China International Knitting Trade Fair), opened their embrace to all the exhibitors and visitors at the National Exhibition and Convention Center(Shanghai). Chinas outstanding enterprises, suppliers and clothing brands came here together with internationally renowned manufacturers, traders, brands. With area of 222,000 square meters, the exhibitions displayed excellent products, enhanced brand popularity, as well as expanded marketing, cooperation and development.
On March 23rd, Suning.com held its “Fashion Show” in Guangdong Fashion Week S/S Collection 2015, on which, Inman, To/Youth, Liebo, One More, EHE, Love Esteem and Embry Form, etc. unveiled the new spring and summer series. This is an indicator of Suning.com to accelerate the development to apparel market.
It is reported that Suning.com will adopt different marketing strategies to promote new products, fashion clothes and unsalable ones. New products will take full advantage of O2O, with offline launch event and online presale, etc., to boost new products into market. Last year, the Wolf Totem shirt co-released by Septwolves and Suning, has been out of stock as soon as it came into the market.
Mercedes-Benz China Fashion Week A/W 2015/2016 was held in Beijing from 24th to 31st March, 2015. During the Fashion Week, “Internet+” has become a popular word, and themes related to nature was the fashion focus of autumn and winter of 2015/16. Against the trend of market diversification and demand personalization, fashion brands and designer brands, which attended the Fashion Week for the first time, caused attention with their performance.
According to report of “France vingt-quatre” on March 31st, in Rancaekek of Indonesia, some models gave catwalks on T station built on paddy field which was full of floating garbage and sewage. They performed with gas masks on their face, protesting against pollution caused by textile industry.
On April 2nd, “Pakistan Investment Forum”, co-organized by Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) and Habib Bank of Pakistan, was held in Suzhou, which attracted more than 40 enterprises and relevant departments from China and Pakistan, discussing investment and development opportunities between China and Pakistan.
On April 8th, 2015, MHLW issued Decree No. 175 to amend the “regulation law of deleterious substances in home supplies” (Law No. 112 in 1973), officially classifying certain azo dyes made of biodegradable carcinogenic aromatic amines as hazardous substances, which is prohibited to be used in textiles. The decree will be put into effect on April 1st, 2016, and by then, only textiles in line with the decree are allowed to be sold in Japan.
During the trial operation on JD.com, Uniqlo official flagship store launched limited sale activity from April 9th to 16th, offering five products to customers at 50% of the tag price every day, the 40 products including men and women shirts, polo shirts, T-shirts, pants and other spring and summer clothes. JD.com opened up dedicated warehouse of more than 10,000 square meters for Uniqlo in Shanghai, which can hold one million sets of clothing at most and support efficient distribution to every corner of China. It is reported that the flagship store will be officially opened on April 17th.
