One day before my final exam, my dad gave me a gift. It completely 1 my life.

On that day I had a 2 with my friends and it was a difficult time with my studies, too. I was 3 . Then I noticed the gift. I opened it and saw a DVD inside. Its name was THE SECRET. 4 , I was in no mood to watch it. I sat down to study, but the 5 in my life—the fight, the sleepless nights and my poor health... everything came to my mind. Amber Wong was not like many of her classmates. She didn’t listen to popular music. She didn’t watch many movies, and she wasn’t interested in nice clothes.

When she got 1 with her friends at a party, Amber found her friends preferred rock and pop music. When Amber 2 if they would like to try classical music, they all looked at her strangely.

It was the first week of the summer vacation. Dad said to Mike, “Charlie hurt his foot and can’t 1 for two weeks. Can you work with me on the 2 ?” Charlie was Dad’s helper.

Mum said, “We know you had plans with your friends, but Dad really needs your 3 .”

“Sure, Dad, I would love to,” Mike replied.

Once, a king showed two men a large basket in the garden. He told them to fill it with water from a well. After they 1 their work, he left them, saying, “When the sun is down, I will come and see your work.”

David is a middle school student. He had lived in a small

A well-dressed man went into a restaurant. He sat down 1 a table near the window.

While attending a meeting, I returned to my hotel room late one rainy evening. The overhead light outside my door was 1 and I had difficulty finding the keyhole. When I finally opened the door, I 2 around the wall for a light switch.

In a small town in France, there was a farmer who lived alone. Every day he 1 a pound of butter to his neighbour, who was a baker. Jeff Keith has only one leg. When he was only twelve years old, Jeff had cancer. Doctors had to 1 off most of his right leg.
