The two-week event ended that day after approximately 1 million visitors experienced and enjoyed the living traditions of the worlds most populous country. Some 120 Chinese folk artists, including musicians, dancers and craftspeople, displayed how the Chinese are working to preserve and adapt their traditional culture.

The festival, first held in 1967, celebrates the diversity of the worlds cultural traditions.
