She was the fourth youngest actor to receive this honor in the Oscar history. But she didn’t get the award at the young age of 10. Some said it’s good for her， especially Alan Arkin who played as her grandfather in Little Miss Sunshine for he regarded it as a chance to improve； otherwise she may become too proud and ruined herself.

She is never that cute doll like Shirley Temple. Breslin is always quiet and serious as if she were nervous. In that film， her natural acting with her big glasses added kind of warm sunshine to the story. Her innocence is a special style which is good for comedy acting.

Breslin began her acting at three. In many aspects， she keeps her nature. She likes Chinese food； elephants are her favorite animals. She once said she would probably become a vet if she didn’t act.
