In commemoration1） of the South African revolutionary's passing， here are some of his wise words that remind us all how to be better to each other.

A good head and a good heart are always a formidable2） combination. 精明的头脑和善良的心灵从来都是一个威力巨大的组合。

Appearances matter—and remember to smile. 外表十分重要——别忘了微笑。

Does anybody really think that they didn't get what they had because they didn't have the talent or the strength or the endurance3） or the commitment4）？ 难道真的有人认为他们没有成功是因为他们缺乏才华、力量、耐心或是没有全身心投入吗？

It always seems impossible until it's done. 凡事在成功之前总是看似不可能完成。

I learned that courage was not the absence of fear， but the triumph5） over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid， but he who conquers that fear. 我知道，勇气并非没有恐惧，而是战胜恐惧。勇士并非毫无畏惧，而是能够征服畏惧。
