COACH DISMISSED
Jose Antonio Camacho,coach of China’s national soccer team,was dismissed by the Chinese Football Association (CFA) after the team’s 1-5 loss to Thailand.The CFA decided to terminate its contract with the Spaniard on the night of June 21.The CFA signed a three-year contract with Camacho in August 2011.Shortly after his appointment,China suffered an early knockout from the 2014 WorId Cup quaIifeirs.The national team lost to Brazil 0-8 in September last year and saw its FIFA ranking slip to 109—its all-time low—in March.Camacho,58,is a retired Spanish left defender.He spent 15 professional years at Real Madrid,before starting a coaching career.
