An artist works on a fresco in an artificial cave in Xian， capital of northwest Chinas Shaanxi Province， on December 10.
The artist， Yang Dongmiao， together with her husband， have been working for nearly two years to restore frescos of the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang， northwest Chinas Gansu Province， one of the best-known stone cave groups in the country famous for its Buddhist wall paintings.
