Most Enterprises Predict Copper Tube Market Will Not Be as Strong in March as Last Year

Recently, a survey was conducted on 21 domestic copper tube enterprises. The survey results show that 52% of copper tube enterprises expect the number of orders in March to be roughly equal to that in February, 43% predict a growth, and 5% say they cannot foresee either a growth or decline of orders in March.
52% of copper tube enterprises expect orders in March to be roughly equal to those in February.Enterprises producing copper tubes for airconditioners say operating rate of copper tubes rebounded in February, but with A/C enterprises’ finished product stock and A/C channels’inventory being on historical high level, and domestic A/C enterprises have slowed down production, leading to decreased demand for copper tubes for air-conditioners. Copper alloy tube enterprises say their products are not notably seasonal, and their overall operation is stable.
43% of copper tube enterprises predict modest growth of copper tube orders in March. As a rule, demand for copper tubes will get into the peak period in March. However, since the second half of the previous year, A/C exports have plunged, and the domestic consumer market has been sluggish due to tightened regulatory policy for the real estate sector. Due to the pressure of export and domestic sales, that the demand for copper tubes in March will not be as strong as 2011 has become an established fact.
