【教学内容】
用英语问路和指路,学习问路和指路的基本举行。适用年级:八年级。
【设计理念】
遵循任务型教学的基本原则,开展教学活动。激发学生学习英语的兴趣,提高英语的交际能力在现实中给他人和自己提供帮助。
【活动目的】
遵照新课程标准的知识结构和能力结构,掌握问路和指路的基本句型,加强语言时间,培养帮助他人的意识。
【活动准备】
问路用的简图若干张和警察制服
【活动过程】
一、导入
老师问:“同学们,如果到了一个陌生的国家或城市,我们通常不知道要去的地方路怎么走,我们该怎么办?”学生A说:“Buy a map(买张交通地图).”学生B起来反驳:“No, I dont agree with you. I cant understand a map in new place. I think asking the way is the best choice.(人生地不熟的,地图看不懂,我看还是问别人的好。)”老师顺势插话:“If you want to ask the way, who do you think is the most suitable person you may ask?”学生们答:”The policeman.”老师接着说:“OK,假设我们组织去了英国的英语夏令营,昨天我们到达了伦敦。你们是营员,今天需要上超市购买一些日用品,所以你们必须要用英语向英国人问路,同时还要能听懂对方的回答。今天我们就来学习用英语问路和指路的句型。”
二、句型展示
用屏幕打出问路句型:
Where is the nearest supermarket?
Which is the way to the nearest supermarket, please?
Could (Would) you please tell me the way to the nearest supermarket?
How can I get to the nearest supermarket?
在同学们掌握了这些句型后,再打出指路的句型:
Go along this road and…..
Go up this road to the end.
Go on until you reach the end.
Turn left (right) at the … crossing.
Take the first (second, third) turning on the left (right).
Go across the bridge.
Its between the … and the …
Youll see …in front of you (on your left / fight)
You cant miss it.
三、分组练习
由同学们自由组合,结成5人左右的小组,选定一名组长,组长担任英国警察,其余的人扮成夏令营营员。营员向英国警察询问去附近超市怎么走。
A: Excuse me, sir. Would you please tell me the way to the nearest supermarket?
B: Certainly. Go along the street, and turn right at the second crossing. Youll se a tall building between the bookshop and the hospital. The tall building is the supermarket. You wont miss it.
A: Thank you very much. By the way, how long will it take us to get there on foot?
B: About fifteen minutes.
A: OK. Good-bye!
B: Good-bye!
第二天,部分营员想给家里几明信片,所以他们要去邮局。
A: Excuse me, Madam. Could you tell me how to get to the post office?
B: Sorry, I dont know. Im new here. Please ask the policeman over there.
A: Thank you all the same.
A: Excuse me, sir. Which is the way to the post office , please?
B: Go up this street and take the second turning on the left. The post office is just on your 、right.
A: Thank you very much.
B: Youre welcome.
四、小组表演
全班分成7个小组,剩余的学生和老师一起当评委。根据各组表演的情况,本着公平公正的原则,参照评分标准,当场打分。评出优胜小组,给予奖励。
【活动评述】
本节课的最大特点是全部学生都被调动起来了,课堂气氛非常活跃,每个同学都进入了角色,不甘落后。活动中,学习英语、讲英语的氛围很浓,切了英语的焦急作用。活动激发了学生学习英语的兴趣,培养了学生的合作、助人意识。
