ObjectiveTo explore the relevant risk factors of tramatic arthritis resulting from the surgery of acetabular fractures.MethodsFrom January 2000 to January 2009,88 patients aged from 20 to 60 years old with acetabular fractures were performed the operation in which 23 cases occurred traumatic arthritis.According to the relevant risk factors that may influenced the incidence of traumatic arthritis, the correlation between the traumatic arthritis and risk factors were analyzed by Chi-square criterion and Logistic regression analysis.ResultsLogistic regression analysis revealed that operative time, fracture types, reduction quality and the incidence of other complications were the independent factors that affected traumatic arthritis outcomes.ConclusionChoosing the appropriate surgical time, grouping fracture types correctly, improving surgical skills and preventing postoperative complications can reduce the incidence of traumatic arthritis resulting from surgery of acetabular fractures and improve the postoperative life quality of the patients.13 refs,3 figs,2 tabs.
