Minzu Hotel Brightens up Your Dragon Festival With Zongzi
The Dragon Boat Festival is traditionally celebrated by eating zongzi, made of glutinous rice stuffed with different fllings and wrapped in reed or bamboo leaves. The festival falls on May 5 on the lunar calendar, or June 16 on the solar calendar.
To honor the festival, we offer our guests assorted zongzi in traditional and new favors. At this beautiful time in the beginning of summer, you can snuggle into a comfortable sofa and pamper yourself with our zongzi. As soon as you unfold the wrapping, you will smell the fragrance of glutinous rice. Take a bite and chew it—you will be amazed at the soft stickiness and the delightful sweetness.
Our zongzi will come with various kinds of stuffng, such as sweetened bean paste, honey dates, meat, a blend of eight precious ingredients, watermelon and proso millet. Some types of zongzi also absorb elements of Western foods.
We choose the best quality glutinous rice and naturally grown reed or bamboo leaves from south China to make our zongzi. All of our zongzi are handmade and packaged in four types of exquisite gift boxes that look like elegant art crafts. Each box of zongzi costs between 88 and 158 yuan.
