What Tibetans fear most is the resumption of the pre-1959feudal serfdom in Tibet and terrorist activities of "Tibetindependence" forces.

Violent crimes involving beating,smashing, looting and burninghave occurred in Lhasa, capital ofTibet Autonomous Region, andneighboring Qinghai, Gansu and Sichuanprovinces in mid-March. Sufficient evidenceshows that the dots were organized, premedi-tated, masterminded and incited by the DalaiLama clique. For example, the Tibetan YouthCongress, a hardline organization under theDalai Lama's supporters that openly preachesviolence, made a statement on March 10 thisyear saying that they would fight for "theindependence of Tibet" defying death andsacrifices.
