Unlike most of the other non-foolishholidays,the history of April Fool's Day,sometimes called All Fool's Day,is not totallyclear. There really wasn't a"first AprilFool's Day"that can be pinpointed(明确的)on the calendar. Some believe it sort ofevolved(发展,进展) simultaneously(同时地)in several cultures at the same time, fromcelebrations involving the first day of spring. The closest point in time that can be identified(确定)as the beginning of this tradition wasin 1582,in France.Prior to that year, thenew year was celebrated for eight days, beginning on March 25th. The celebrationculminated (达到顶点) on April 1st.Withthe reform of the calendar under Charles IX,the Gregorian Calendar was introduced, andNew Year's Day was moved to January 1st.
